Junior Football Academy Malaysia is a football program endorsed by Malaysia Ministry of Education Importance of Sports in Education As the saying in English goes, “All work and no Play makes Jack a Dull boy”. It has been forgotten that academic learning and sports education complement each other. They resemble the two sides of the same coin. If sports education is carried out accompanied with the academic curriculum, the overall personality of the student is increased to quite an extent. The qualities of the leadership, sharing, team spirit and tolerance are learnt from sports. Sports education not only teaches the students to maintain the physical stamina, but also the habit of obedience, discipline, the determination to win, willpower, etc. The power of reasoning, mental development, vocational specialisation comes from the academic education of the students. Therefore, sports education along with the academics result in the all-round development of the students. Nowadays, the education system makes the students stress more on their mental development and completely rejects the physical activities. The overall outcome of this is that the developing groups of graduates and professionals have weak bodies and poor physique. The curriculum should include sports, games and physical health education for the all-round development of the students "Every legend begin from somewhere" Sports education should be introduced in schools and colleges with complete sincerity. It also justifies the statement, “a sound mind resides only in a sound body”. A healthy and strong body is not possible without sports and physical activities. A good sportsman always learns to obey the rules of the games and the comments of their superiors. It also teaches them leadership qualities, maintaining teamwork and displaying team spirit. Sports education trains the students to face defeat with a smile and maintain the humility even in victory. It is the healthiest means of refreshments and recreation. Any person good in one walk of life automatically gains confidence in others. So if one is good at sports, it follows that their confidence will spill over to academics as well. With confidence on their side, they are motivated to give their best. Sports Entrepreneurship Management has become very important in today’s age. With sports being introduced in educational curriculum managing it has become a very important aspect. Now we have so many academies and football clubs all over the country precisely all over the world. JFAM a branch of the chain of junior football academy which is originated from Europe has taken the task to use Sports education and taken up on the war footing at schools, colleges and educational institutions for the all-round development of the person which will help them immensely in their lives ahead. I as a head coach of the academy will be so proud to see at least one of these kids represent their respective schools, communities and the country as a whole some day. Everything is possible if we keep believing in these kids,if we keep encouraging them,if we keep giving them second chances even if they have had many chances. JFAM believes in every kid deserve a chance to be better. We believe there is a lot of greatness in every child.we believe in teamwork that why the kids are the best and are always happy to train with each other. Our Slogan; We win or learn JFAM has lost so many games, indeed its brings us a lot of memories but we learnt from all our lost game and developed into a winning team. So now we don’t see lose in any game it either WE WIN OR LEARN. And that what makes us the best among the best. The expression is priceless Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it… On this note JFAM would like to express our gratitude to the Ministry of Education (MOE) for trusting and believing in our vision for the Malaysian youth. Not to forget our appreciation to SK KG CHERAS BAHARU one of our first government schools who has believed in our vision. Let’s emphasize a little bit on this vision. Junior Football Academy Malaysia is an Academy that blends sport with education, many will ask how? Because many kids may lose concentration in their school work as soon as sports is introduced? Yes, that is true; So it is best that well experienced and professional coaches train the kids during their sports period with syllabus that is in line with educating the kids and not just focusing on playing sports. Our vision is to educate the kids through sports with the right, well experienced and professional coaches who are dedicated to go to the level of every kid. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela Written by, Coach Joseph Head Coach Junior Football Academy Malaysia 6 years experience in Grassroots coaching Former Professional Asente Kotoko S.C.
